Hello @ all,
my Czech is not good, I hope you don´t mind if I write in english instead
I have a modified ori file from 2.0TDI BKD and want to flash it to the ECU with Superflash3 (SuperVAG).
The original file which I had read out is either *.BIN or a *.ECU file.
This file was modified and sent back to me as *.MOD file via e-mail.
The flash program does not accept *.MOD files, only BIN and ECU-files.
I don´t want to waste the ECU, so I got a few questions and hope someone could help me.
The MOD and BIN file has the same size, so I assume that the ending "MOD" is a binary and I just have to rename it?
I´ve tried that. Then the program tells me BOSCH informations (ECU number etc.) is missing.
There is a converter inside the Superflash BIN->ECU or ECU->BIN.
So I can convert the renamed BIN (former a MOD file) to ECU. Then a window pops up
and I can enter the "BOSCH" information (model, make, year, partnumber, number of firmware etc.)
Can I enter whatever I want? partnumber is 03G906016ET, but any other value is also accepted.
Would VAG-COM show "ABCDE" in the partnumber field afterwards if I would enter that here or should I strictly use the default values as seen in the ori file?
The last thing that confuses me is the different size of the ori ECU-file and modded ECU-file after conversion. They are about 280kB, but 5kB difference between both....
Lots of (basic) questions, hope you can help me!
